Reviews are how we learn what SavePoint gets right, what it gets wrong, and what to build next. Everything below explains how the process works, what happens to your name, and how to stop the emails if you would rather not hear about it.

How Reviews Work

A couple of weeks after you activate your licence we send an invitation to rate SavePoint. The form takes about a minute: one star rating, an optional title and comment, and an optional box for what you want us to build next. You do not need to log in, the emailed link signs you straight in to that one form and nothing else.

We ask at most three times (roughly two weeks, two and a half months, and six months after activation), and we stop permanently the moment you send us anything. You can also leave a review any time from your account page.

Every review is read by a person before it appears on the site. We approve genuine reviews including critical ones, because a page of nothing but five stars helps nobody. Reviews are only removed when they break a published rule (abuse, someone else's personal information, spam, content that is not about the product, or a request from the reviewer). We never remove a review for being negative and we never edit anyone's words. If we want to respond, we add a visible reply underneath instead.

The last box on the form, the one asking what we should build next, is the one we care about most. It feeds directly into the roadmap.

Your Name and Privacy

When you write a review you choose how your name appears, and the form shows you a live preview before you submit:

  • First name and last initial (for example "Matt O."), the default
  • Verified Customer, which shows no name at all
  • Something else, if you would rather use a handle

You can remove your name at any time, on your own, from the My Review card on your account page. It switches to "Verified Customer" straight away. Your rating and your words stay exactly as you wrote them, only the attribution changes.

A review is only published if you tick the box giving us permission. If you leave that box unchecked the feedback still reaches the team, it just never appears on the website. If you want a review taken down entirely, contact support and we will remove it.

Reviews cannot be edited after you submit them, which keeps published reviews honest. If we fix something you complained about, we will email you once to let you know what changed and offer you the chance to update your review. That is entirely your call, there is never anything attached to it, and updated reviews are labelled as updated so nobody is misled about the history.

Turning Review Emails Off

Review invitations are their own category, separate from order confirmations and everything else, so turning them off costs you nothing important. Two ways to do it:

  • Go to your settings page and untick Reviews and Feedback Requests
  • Use the "Manage Email Preferences" link at the bottom of any SavePoint email

Order confirmations, licence keys, and security emails are not affected, and they cannot be turned off because you need them.
