How can I see the features before purchasing?

We provide comprehensive video demonstrations showing all features in detail. These demos include real-world usage scenarios and detailed tutorials to help you understand how SavePoint works before making a purchase. You may also access a lightweight demo sandbox to get a feel for the program. While many features are inactive in the demo, we hope this will help you get a feel for the software before buying.

How many devices can I use with one license?

Each license is valid for 2 devices. Your license works on your primary computer and one additional device of your choice. This provides flexibility for laptop/desktop combinations, shared household use, or as a backup in case you purchase a new computer. Please note that the program's database that stores your data resides on the installed computer, and there currently are no sync versions for the offline version of the program at this time.

What happens when I upgrade my hardware?

If you change components of your computer or purchase a new computer, you may lose access to the software. In this case, we would recommend you utilize your second license. Additionally, each user may generate one new license key every 2 years to account for hardware upgrades or replacements. This ensures your license remains valid when you get a new computer. If you need additional licenses outside of this window, we recommend you purchase a new license from our website.

Is my data safe during installation?

Yes! SavePoint operates entirely offline and never transmits your data. All information stays securely on your local computer during and after installation. We recommend ensuring your computer itself is properly secured to avoid any unwanted access to your data.

What do I get with my license purchase?

Your license includes access to the version of the software you purchased with all features included outside of the box for use on up to 2 devices, along with the ability to obtain a hardware replacement license once every two years for that originally-purchased version. You receive access to all updates and bug fixes for the life cycle of that version. Additionally, if an online-capable version of the desktop software is made available, users will have access to both programs at no additional cost for their current software version (*online-capable features, such as database backup, may require additional payment).

While we expect there to be new versions of the software released in the future, built upon new ideas and user feedback, we built this software with the intent for it to stand fully on its own, and held nothing back. The program works fully out of the box with no additional purchases required. Current users will be able to purchase the next major version of the software at a discounted price.

Are there any ongoing costs?

No ongoing costs! This is a one-time purchase. Your license is good for this version of the software. All core features work completely offline without any subscriptions or recurring fees. Optional add-on services in an online-capable version of the software, like secure backup, may be made available at additional cost, but are not required. All core functionality, to the fullest extent possible, will always be made available in both versions.
