SavePoint's Development Roadmap: What's Coming Next
One thing we've committed to from the beginning is transparency about where SavePoint is heading. You're not just buying software; you're joining a community that helps shape its future. Here's what we're working on and where development is focused.
Where We Are Now
SavePoint launched in late 2024 after more than a decade of development, starting as personal spreadsheets in 2013 and evolving into the full-featured finance platform you see today. The early bird launch went well, and we've been collecting feedback from users through our Discord community.
The official launch in Q1 2026 marks the transition from early bird pricing to standard pricing. The core software is complete and robust, with budgeting, cash flow analysis, balance sheet tracking, FIRE planning with Monte Carlo simulations, multi-currency support across 150+ currencies, and eight language options.
💡 Our Core Commitment
Offline-first will always be our priority. We believe your financial tools should work without an internet connection, and your data should stay on your device. Future online features will always be optional additions, never requirements.
What's Coming in 2026
Development priorities for this year focus on a few key areas:
Online-capable version development begins this quarter. This optional version will enable features like secure backup and potential account aggregation. The offline version remains fully featured and our primary focus.
Continuous bug fixes and improvements based on user feedback. We're listening closely in Discord and making regular updates to address issues and improve the experience.
User-requested features get prioritized through our Discord voting system. SavePoint users can vote on what we build next, ensuring development aligns with what people actually need.
Future Development Areas
Looking further ahead, our roadmap includes several major focus areas:
Advanced Analytics: Enhanced analysis tools for deeper financial insights. Think sophisticated reporting, custom financial ratios, trend analysis, and pattern recognition to help you understand your data better.
Multi-Device Support: Secure, offline synchronization between your devices without cloud dependencies. We're exploring mobile companion apps and local network synchronization that maintain our privacy-first approach.
Enhanced Goal Management: More powerful tools for setting, tracking, and achieving financial objectives, including intelligent goal recommendations and milestone tracking.
Home and Real Estate Tools: Comprehensive features for homeowners and real estate investors, including mortgage analysis, property tracking, and rental income management.
