We have some great news to share! It's official—SavePoint is finally live!

After 12 years of development, what started as a simple spreadsheet has evolved into professional-grade personal finance software. Back in 2013, I started tracking my finances in a basic spreadsheet where I recorded income, expenses, and a simple cash flow statement.

"Closing the books" each month became something I genuinely looked forward to. Every year I'd ask myself: what else would be useful? I really enjoyed putting together the analytics and watching the data grow. And with that, each year the spreadsheet grew. We eventually included detailed balance sheets, transaction reporting, budgeting, and beautiful graphs with fancy buttons that displayed a lot of information, all within a spreadsheet.

Still, it took a lot of time to put together each month, and I wanted to find a way to do it better with even more useful reporting. Whenever I looked for software that could replace my spreadsheet system, something was always missing. Usually it was privacy; I didn't want my financial data sitting on someone else's servers (whether aggregated or just flowing through), nor did I want to be stuck paying a recurring fee every month.

So we kept building our spreadsheets and making them better year after year, waiting for the right solution to show up. Eventually, we decided to try our hand at building something ourselves that would fit that vision and more.
